ʿIlm al-Nafs

The classical Islamic science of the nafs, qalb, ʿaql, and rūḥ — a complete framework for understanding the human soul

Scientific Background

PhD in Systemic Neuroscience & MSc in Neuro-Cognitive Psychology from LMU Munich

Clinical Practice

Islamic Psychology counselling worldwide, from within the classical framework

For over twelve centuries, Muslim scholars diagnosed the diseases of the heart, prescribed their cures, and trained physicians of the soul. This tradition was not simply lost, rather it was suppressed by colonialism, through the secularisation of knowledge, and by our own collective amnesia. My work is its restoration.
